Senior Company

Leyna Ball is a junior at Meadowdale High School. Leyna has been enrolled at Barclay Shelton Dance Centre for fourteen years. In 2020, she joined Junior Company and Senior Company in 2023. Leyna has a passion for dance and theatrics, enjoys science, participates in chamber orchestra at school, and she is bilingual in English and Japanese. Outside of dance, Leyna loves spending time with her family and friends, swimming, playing tennis, and travelling around the world. Leyna appreciates her family, friends, dance instructors, and all Company members for their assistance and support. Leyna is proud to be associated with great dancers and instructors at Barclay Shelton Dance Centre.

Jillian Cook is a freshman at Edmonds Woodway, and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for ten years. This is her first year in Senior Company, after spending one year as a Junior Company member. Outside of dance, Jilly loves spending time with her friends and family, playing tennis, and attending youth group. Jilly would like to thank her family who support her in everything she does, the girls she has met while being on Senior Company and especially her dance teachers who have helped her improve and become the dancer she is today. She is extremely grateful and proud to be a part of company and can’t wait to continue dancing at Barclay Shelton.

Madigan Drennan is a senior at Bishop Blanchet High School and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for nine years. This is her fourth year in Senior Company after three years in Junior Company. Outside of dance, Madigan loves spending time with her family and friends and swimming and traveling. She also finds joy in helping teach the younger dancers. After high school, Madigan plans on attending a four year university to study biomedical engineering. Madigan is thankful for her family for supporting her in everything she does and all of her teachers who have made her the person and dancer she is today. She is also grateful for her friends who encourage her every day at dance.

Elisabeth Farstad is a Senior at King’s High School. She has been dancing for 14 years and this is her fourth year in Senior Company! Outside of dance, Elisabeth loves to play piano, sing, hang out with friends from her church youth group, and spend time with her family. Although Elisabeth is sad to leave Barclay Shelton, she is excited to study worship arts and music in college. Elisabeth is grateful for all the special friendships she has made at dance. Most importantly, she is grateful for her family who have always supported her and given her an amazing opportunity to dance all these years. She would like to also thank her wonderful dance teachers who have helped her become the dancer she is today!

Kate Fuller is a senior at Edmonds Woodway High School and is doing full running start at Edmonds College. Next year after high school Kate plans on attending Grand Canyon University to major in nursing. She’s been dancing for fourteen years and this is her second year in Senior Company. Outside of dance Kate loves to bake, work with kids, and hang out with her family. Kate would like to thank her incredible family who has supported her through everything. She also wants to thank all the dance teachers who have helped her learn so much and gotten her to where she is as a dancer.

Samantha Gurnee is a 10th grader at Meadowdale High School and she has been dancing for 10 years. This is her first year in Sr. Company and was in Jr. Company for one year as well. Outside of Barclay Shelton, Samantha enjoys hanging out with her friends, and spending time with family, as well as being a part of her schools dance team. She would like to thank her family for always supporting her and providing the needed resources and opportunities over the years. She also wanted to give her appreciation to all of her dance teachers for the countless hours of instruction and leadership they’ve provided.

Maia Haldeman is a junior at King’s High School and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for 13 years. This is her 3rd year in Sr. Company, after 4 years in Jr. Company. In her free time, Maia enjoys playing tennis, baking cookies, and reading to relax. She also loves traveling to new places. Maia would like to thank her incredible friends, dance teachers, and family for their constant love and support in becoming the dancer she is today.

Lucie Ingram is a sophomore at Edmonds Woodway high school, she has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for 2 years. This is her second year in senior company. Lucie loves cooking, spending time with friends, and family. Lucie wants to thank all her friends and family for all the support she has gotten throughout her dance career. She would also like to thank all the teachers at Barclay Shelton, as well as her fellow senior company member, they make senior company such a fun loving environment.

Ava Larson is a 9th grader at Kings High School and this is her first year with Senior Company after spending two years on Junior Company.   Ava started dancing at age four and has danced with Barclay Shelton for six years.   While dance is Ava’s first love, she also keeps busy with cheerleading, swimming, tennis and skiing.   Ava is thankful for her friends and family who love her and for her amazing Barclay Shelton teachers that have supported and developed her throughout the years.

Cora Lentz is in her 10th grade year at King's High School. She has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for twelve years and this is her third year being apart of Company. Cora loves reading, drawing, cooking, getting outdoors, and spending time with friends. She would like to thank her parents for sacrificing the time to take her to dance and being her biggest supporters. She is also grateful for her dance teachers for pushing her to be a better dancer, and her dance friends for never failing to make her laugh.

Ella Montzingo is a freshman at Kings High School and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for 9 years. This is her first year in senior company after being in junior company last year. Outside of dance, she likes to bake, hang out with friends and family, and cheer for her school.  Ella would like to thank her family for always supporting her and driving to all the rehearsals. She is also thankful for her dance teachers who have taught her everything she knows. Most of all, she is thankful for her fellow company members and Sydney Evans. Sydney is the whole reason that Ella started dancing!

Lily Moore is a sophomore at Edmonds-Woodway High School. She has been dancing for twelve years at Barclay Shelton, though this is her first year in sr company. She loves the summer time, art, reading and writing. Along with being a dancer she is also a cheerleader, track runner, and 4.0 student. She is extremely grateful for her parents for always supporting her in all of her endeavors and always being there for her. She is also so appreciative of all the love her friends have shown her throughout the years and is excited to grow as a dancer and person as she progresses through high school and her dancing journey.

Kate Morgan is a sophomore at Edmonds Woodway High School and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for 12 years. This is her second year in Sr company, with prior four years of Jr company experience. In addition to dance, Kate cheers at her school and loves being active and involved in her community. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and helping at her family’s flower shop. She is incredibly grateful for her dance teachers and fellow company members for creating such a welcoming, inspiring, and supportive environment that has helped her grow both as a dancer and as a person.

Rosa Olson is a sophomore at Inglemoor highschool. This is her second year in senior company and her sixth yeah in company all together. Outside of the studio Rosa is a honors student, she is part of her schools theater company, improv team and on two soccer teams! She’s thankful for her dance teachers and community that she’s met through dance that makes her love for dance grow they’ve even become like family to her.  Last but not least She’s thankful to her parents for making time in their schedule to make this all possible. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Lucia Rigsby is a senior at Shorecrest High School and has been a dancer for fifteen years. This year is her fourth year in Senior Company after spending one year as an apprentice and four years in Junior Company. When she’s not dancing at Barclay Shelton, Lucia loves to crochet and sew, as well as perform on her school’s hip hop team. Beyond high school, she would like to continue her involvement in the performing arts by majoring in costume design and minoring in dance. Lucia is so grateful for her family members who always encourage her to achieve her goals, her dance teachers who constantly inspire her to be a better dancer, and her fellow company members who make dance feel like home.

Ella Roark is a freshman at Meadowdale High School and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for eleven years. This is her first year in Senior Company after being in Junior Company for three years. Outside of dance, Ella loves to spend time with her church community and help out with Sunday school classes. Ella would like to thank her family for constantly supporting her, and her amazing dance family for always being there for her and teaching her everything she knows about dance!

Vienna Rose is a Sophomore at Edmonds Woodway High School. She has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for 11 years. This is her first year in Senior Company after spending two years in Junior Company. Outside of dance, Vienna enjoys music and spending time with her friends and family. Most importantly, Vienna is grateful for the friendship’s she has made at Barclay Shelton that will last a lifetime.

Nola Ruhlman is a sophomore at King's High School and is in her 6th year of Jr/Sr Company, having danced at Barclay Shelton since the age of four. She loves dance, especially modern and ballet, and is grateful for the opportunity to dance with the amazing teachers at Barclay Shelton! Nola also plays club volleyball and HS varsity volleyball and got to go to State with her HS team this last fall! With the little time left in her schedule, she hangs with friends or family and enjoys reading or painting, when she can. Nola recognizes the immeasurable support from teachers, coaches and friends, but specifically thanks mom and dad for their love and interest in all she pursues.

Amelia Upson is a 15 year old student at Bishop Blanchet High School who has been dancing for over twelve years. She spent three years in Junior Company and is now in her first year with Senior Company. Dance is a huge part of her life and something she truly loves. Outside of the studio, she enjoys playing Roblox and spending time with her kittens. Amelia is so thankful for her supportive teachers and her friends who make dance feel like a second family, and she is especially grateful to her mom for always driving her to and from practices and supporting her every step of the way.

Alexa Wilson is a sophomore at King’s High School and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for 9 years. This is her 1st year in Senior Company after dancing in Junior Company for 4 years. Outside of dance she cheers for her school, and loves hanging out with her friends and family. Alexa would like to thank her friends, family, dance teachers, and her best friend Lucy for supporting her in everything.

Elsie Ball is in 8th grade at Madrona K-8 and this is her 11th year dancing at Barclay Shelton. This is her second year in Junior Company. Outside of dance, Elsie enjoys spending time with her friends, listening to music, and reading. Elsie would like to thank her friends and family for supporting her.

Brianna Barth is a eighth grader at King’s Junior High and she has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for eleven years.  This is her fourth year in Junior Company, and she is having a blast!  Aside, from dance Bri love to plays soccer.  Brianna is thankful for her wonderful friends, family and the supportive teachers at Barclay Shelton who have taught and inspired her throughout her dance journey!

Ella Becker is an eighth grader at College Place Middle School. She has been dancing for eight years, five at Barclay Shelton. This is her first year in Junior Company. When she is not dancing Ella likes skiing, hanging out with her friends, reading and volunteering at different community events and programs. Ella would like to thank her friends and family for being so encouraging and supportive of her dancing. She would also like to thank all of her dance teachers for pushing and motivating her to be a better dancer over the years along with all of her supportive company members.

Nellie Benn is a seventh grader at St. Luke School, and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for 9 years. This is her 3rd year in Junior Company. Outside of dance Nellie likes to sing, play volleyball, play piano, and swim on her swim team (Go Trolls!). She wants to thank everyone she dances with, because they all make her so happy. She also wants to thank her sister for being the best person EVER and always making literally everyone she meets happy and loved. She wants to thank her parents for always supporting her and whatever she chooses to do. Lastly, she wants to thank her dance teachers for teaching her moves and dances and always encouraging everyone.

Sadie Bradshaw is a 7th-grade student at Madrona K-8. She has been dancing since she was four years old and is currently in her second year with the Junior Company. Sadie enjoys expressing herself through dance, as well as spending time creating art, reading, and playing the piano and flute. She would like to thank her parents and siblings for their love, encouragement, and continued support throughout her dance journey. Sadie is also grateful for her dance teachers and company members who have made her a better dancer and person.

Luella Brown is in seventh grade at Christ the King Catholic School and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton since she was four. This marks her tenth year of dancing. This is her third year in Jr. Company. Outside of dance Luella enjoys reading, basketball, volleyball, and spending time with friends and family. Luella wants to thank her parents for being so supportive to her commitments, her grandparents for driving her to classes and her teachers for helping her become such a strong dancer.

Hadley Christensen is a 7th grader at College Place Middle School. Hadley started dancing at Barclay Shelton as a Kindergartener - dancing for Ms. Pam in Mardi Gras Mamba! This is Hadley’s third year dancing in Junior Company. When she’s not leaping and spinning across the floor, Hadley can be seen shooting jump shots on the basketball court, setting her team members up the volleyball court, and spending time with her friends. Hadley is thankful to her family - her biggest fans! She knows without her family, friends, and her dance teachers she wouldn’t be where she is today, shining on stage.

Marina Dire is in 8th grade at College Place Middle School. This is her 11th year at Barclay Shelton and 3rd year in Junior Company. Marina’s 2 main activities are dance and basketball. She also loves to watch sports on TV, spend time with her friends, and draw. Marina would like to thank her sisters, grandma, and mom and dad for always supporting her.

Charlotte Garton is a 8th grader at Meadowdale Middle School and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for ten years. This is her fourth year as a member of the Junior Company, and she loves being part of such an inspiring and supportive team. When she’s not at the studio, Charlotte enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is incredibly grateful for her family’s constant love and support throughout her dance journey. Charlotte would also like to thank her amazing dance teachers for encouraging her, helping her grow, and inspiring her to become the best dancer she can be.

Coco Hooks is a 7th grader at Madrona K-8, and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for seven years. This is her third year in Junior Company. Outside of school, Ella enjoys making art and spending time with her family, two rabbits and friends. Ella loves all her dance teachers at Barclay Shelton and would like to thank them for being supportive, fun, and helping her grow into the dancer she is today. Ella’s friends at dance are very kind, funny and supportive, too! She would like to thank them for welcoming her last year and helping her feel at home.

Kinley Kuala is an eighth grader at Holy Rosary School in Edmonds and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for eleven years! This is her third year in Junior Company, and she couldn’t be more excited! When she’s not in the studio, Kinley loves hanging out with friends and family, babysitting, and spending money that is not her own. She is so thankful for her amazing family and friends who cheer her on every step of the way, her wonderful dance teachers who have helped her grow over the years, and her Junior Company teammates who inspire her daily and have become such great friends!

Natalie Kuehn is an eighth grader at Holy Rosary and has been dancing for 11 years. This is her fourth year in Junior Company. Outside of dance she loves spending time with her family and friends, playing tennis, soccer and camping. Natalie is grateful for her family, and friends as well as her dance teachers who support her; especially, Miss Nicole, Miss Stacie and Miss Allegra. Natalie is especially grateful to Miss Allegra for the growth and confidence she has inspired in her dancing. She appreciates her fellow company dancers for all the laughs, support, and fun they bring to every rehearsal.

Nadia Leckie is a seventh grader at College Place Middle School. She has been dancing with Barclay Shelton since she was three, and this is her third year in Junior Company. Nadia loves being on stage, on a soccer field and basketball court, playing beach volleyball, and swimming. She cherishes spending time with family and friends and exploring new and familiar places (such as Sephora and Starbucks). Nadia would like to thank her mom, dad, sister Amara, and all her fellow music-lovers for her love of dance.

Isabella Leitner is an 8th grader at Einstein Middle School and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for 11 years.  This is her 4th year in Junior Company.  When she isn’t dancing she plays soccer, goes skiing, likes to bake and spend time with her friends and family.  Isabella is thankful to all her teachers over the years that helped inspire her love for dance.  She is also grateful for her parents who encouraged her to follow her dreams and for getting her to all her dance classes.

Finley Mcdonald is in eighth grade at Kings Junior High. This is her second year in junior company, and she’s been dancing for the last 11 years. Outside of dance, Finley enjoys her friends, her two sisters, track and field, volleyball and music. Finley is grateful for her family, her teachers, and her dance instructors for making her the person she is today.

Penny Mcdonald goes to Kings junior high and is in 7th grade. She has been dancing for 10 years and this is her first year in jr company. She loves shopping and organizing things, and sometimes doing chores at her friends house while there’s no parents is fun. And lastly she’s thankful for her moms cooking!!!

McKayla Mullen is a seventh grader at Einstein Middle School. She has been dancing at Barclay Shelton since she was three years old, with two of those nine years as a part of Junior Company. Besides loving all types of dance McKayla enjoys hanging out with her friends, family, and dogs Minnie and Lucky. McKayla is thankful for her family and dance teachers who have supported her throughout the years, and she cannot wait to expand her dancing.

Leona Sengul is a 7th grader at Einstein Middle School, in Shoreline, WA. This marks Leona’s 2nd year as a member of Junior Company, and 4th year at Barclay Shelton. When she isn’t dancing, you can find Leona shopping, babysitting, with friends or family, reading, at Starbucks, skiing, being in orchestra, and has been known to watch TV during her free time. Leona is deeply grateful for her supportive community around her. She would especially like to thank all of the company members, who have been nothing but uplifting and encouraging.

Rooney So is a seventh grader at Cedar Park Christian School Lynnwood. Rooney has been dancing for eleven and half years, and has been in Junior Company for three. While not dancing Rooney likes to play cello, she also likes to felt and crochet.  Rooney would like to thank the teachers, staff, and other students at Barclay Shelton for helping her become the dancer she is today. She is most thankful for God giving her the talent and joy of dance.

Piper Suzuki is an 8th grader at Einstein Middle School, and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for five years. This is her 3rd year in Junior Company. Outside of dance, Piper enjoys hanging out with friends and family, baking, and skiing in the winter. Piper wants to thank her family for driving her to all of her classes, and her teachers for helping her become the dancer she is today!

She has been dancing for 11 years at BSDC and this will be her 3rd year as a Jr. Company member after taking a year off to live in Southern France with her family. Maya likes to dance, hang out with friends and enjoys traveling. She is so grateful being able to dance with her best friends at BSDC! She is also thankful to her family for always supporting her!

Koa Terwilliger is a 7th grader at Meadowdale Middle School. He has been a dancer at Barclay Shelton for four years and this is his second year in Junior Company. Outside of dance, Koa enjoys hanging out with his friends, spending time with family, competing in different academic competitions, and doing many other extracurricular activities. Koa is so incredibly grateful for his teachers who help him become a better student, his dance teachers who are the reason he is where he is today in dance, and he is most grateful for his family and friends who support him through everything.

Frankie Traynor is an eighth grader at Holy Rosary Edmonds. She has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for 11 years. This is her third year in Junior Company. Outside of dance, Frankie  loves snowboarding, playing soccer and volleyball and hanging out with her friends and family. Frankie would like to thank her parents for their unwavering support, encouragement and willingness to drive to and from Barclay multiple times a day. She would also like to thank her dance teachers who have inspired Frankie, been a constant source of motivation and have pushed her to put it all out there on the stage. Along with a deep love for dance, Frankie has built lifelong friendships during her years at Barclay and amazing memories to go with.

Elsa Weisbrod is a 7th grader at Brier Terrace Middle School. This is her seventh year dancing and first year in junior company. Other than dance, Elsa likes to play piano and write, but most of all she loves to spend time with her friends. She is so grateful for her friends/family who are so encouraging and always come to see her perform. She is also so thankful for everyone at Barclay Shelton, especially her dance teachers who are always helping her learn/grow along with the people in junior company who are all so fun to be around. She loves getting to dance with them and being part of that amazing community.

Breya Will is a 7th grader at King’s Jr. High who has been taking dance classes since she was 4 years old, and dancing since before she could walk. This is Breya’s third year in Junior Company.  When she’s not dancing, Breya loves playing volleyball and basketball, swimming, baking, and organizing.  Breya would like to thank Barclay Shelton, and all of the amazing dance teachers over the years who have been a part of helping her to learn about, and love dance.

5th & 6th Grade

Posey Brown is a 6th grader at Christ the King school, and this is her 9th year dancing at Barclay Shelton. This is her second year in Junior Company. Outside of dance class, Posey likes to participate in the CYO sports hosted by her school, spending time with all her friends, and reading. Posey would like to thank all her dance teachers over the years, along with her family. They’re the ones who make this all possible. But she’s most thankful for Ms. Stacie and Ms. Nicole for being so kind and helpful during this year in Junior Company, and in her technique classes.

Sophia Copstead is a sixth grader at Maplewood Elementary and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for 8 years. This is her first year in junior company and she is loving it. Sophia also loves that her and her cousin Claire have been dancing together since the very beginning! Outside of dance Sophia plays volleyball, plays the viola at school and skis with her family. Sophia is so grateful for the amazing support she gets from her family - even her two crazy younger brothers. She looks forward to her classes every week to see friends and teachers she’s had year after year, learning about dance and growing up at the studio.

Aurielle Crouch is a sixth grader at Sherwood Elementary and this is her first year in Junior Company. She has been dancing since preschool and has danced at Barclay Shelton since second grade. She loves performing, baking, traveling, and writing. Aurielle is thankful for her friends and family, and her amazing dance teachers at Barclay Shelton.

Stella Farnes is a 5th grader at Madrona School and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for 8 years. This is her first year as a Junior Company member. Dancing is life, but Stella also enjoys art, choreographing dances and spending time with her friends and family, she is the oldest of 5 siblings. Stella would like to thank her mom and dad for always supporting her in everything she does, especially dance. She is grateful to her family and friends for their constant love and encouragement. Barclay Shelton is such a huge part of Stella’s life, she would also like to thank her amazing dance teachers who inspire her as she grows in her dance journey.

Nyah Gamble is a sixth grader at Lynndale Elementary School, and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for nine years. This is her first year as a Junior Company member. Nyah loves spending time with her family and basketball friends and dancing four times a week, also with her new puppy Enzo. Her favorite types of dance are ballet, jazz and modern. Something that makes Nyah unique is that she’s confident, a lion leader at her school (a lion leader is a person who is a more of a leader and that stands out of the rest of their peers and classmates). Nyah would like to say thank you to her family and friends for always supporting her and being there for her. Also, to her dance teachers that she has had all her years, for making her the great dancer she is today. Shout out to Nyah’s cousin Charlotte for always being a safe place, best friend and fellow dancer.

Kaia Gray is in 5th grade at Highland Terrace Elementary, and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for four years. This is her first year in Junior Company. Outside of dance, Kaia enjoys art, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with friends. She also loves to cook and bake, and is always trying out new recipes. Kaia is thankful for her supportive family, friends, and wonderful community.

Claire Kopij is a sixth grader at St. Luke School and has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for eight years.  She is currently in her first year with the Junior Company and loves performing and sharing her skills in jazz, ballet, tap, modern, and pop styles.  Outside of dance, Claire loves spending time with friends and stays active playing basketball, volleyball, tennis, and swimming.  She is known for being hardworking, kind, and creative, and brings energy, confidence, and heart to every performance.  Claire is grateful for the support of her parents, her two brothers, and her extended family, and she extends a heartfelt thank you to her dance teachers and fellow Company members for their continued inspiration and guidance.

Emilie Kuala is a sixth grader at Holy Rosary School in Edmonds with a big love for dance! She started dancing at just three years old and is now in her ninth year at Barclay Shelton. This year is very exciting because it is her first year in Junior Company! When Emilie isn’t dancing, she can be found playing basketball or volleyball, baking, and hanging out with her friends and family. She is so thankful for her amazing teachers at Barclay Shelton, who encourage her and make dancing even more fun!

Stella Stoltenberg is in 5th grade at Syre Elementary school, and has been dancing for 7 years at Barclay Shelton. She is proud to be performing with Junior Company for the first time this year. When she isn’t dancing, Stella is busy pursuing her other passions: writing, singing, swimming, soccer, and spending time with friends. She loves to perform, and is happiest in the center of the action - whether on the soccer pitch, in the pool, or on stage! Stella is grateful for all her family, friends, and teachers who love and support her and have helped her grow as a person, an athlete, and a dancer.

Skylar Stone is a 6th grader at Holy Rosary and is in her second year with Jr Company. She has been dancing at Barclay since she was three years old and has practically grown up in the studio. Outside of dance, Skylar loves playing volleyball, listening to music (especially Megan Moroney), and spending time with her friends and family. Many things make her unique, but what stands out most is her excitement for life and her genuine love for people and animals. Skylar is incredibly grateful for her parents, family, dance teachers, and school teachers who continually believe in her and encourage her to be her best.

Violet Swarthout is in 5th grade at Hazelwood Elementary school. She has been dancing at Barclay Shelton for seven years. This is her first year in Jr Company. Outside of dance, she likes playing basketball, volleyball, and hanging out with family and friends. She is so thankful for the support that her family and friends gave her through this journey.​

Nora Zirkle is a 6th Grader at Sherwood Elementary School in Edmonds.  She is in her 9th year dancing at Barclay Shelton, and her second year in Junior Company.  When Nora isn't at the studio dancing, she can be found on the soccer field.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and drawing.  Nora also likes to stay involved in school activities like Theater Group and Safety Patrol.  She would like to thank her family for being so supportive of her in all that she does, and is very grateful to all of her dance teachers for inspiring and influencing her love for dance.
